State Police Using Cellphone Extraction Devices

It is no shock to me that there are devices that can get into your computer and steal or manipulate information you have stored on it. But now Federal and State police can now extract information from your cellphone without your knowledge.

Imagine being stopped because you went through an intersection as the light went red and the local police pull you over. While they are running your license and registration they also go through your cell phone without you knowledge. It is happening right now in this country. The Department of Homeland Security has taken it upon themselves to even do this to traveler's laptops when going through the airport, ports of entry and Border Patrol check stations up to 100 miles inside the US.

The state of Michigan' State Police are even have used these devices to access information from cellphones that officers asked drivers they have pulled over to give them. Giving your private information to any local, state or federal official should not be asked at a traffic stop, coming into our country or even being in our country. The 4th Amendment which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures should include our computers and cellphones. Oh wait a minute it does but that damn Patriot Act thing is still stripping away our rights.

The state of Michigan's ACLU has asked the Michigan State Police (MSP) why they are using these "Extraction devices" but the MSP have been throwing some red tape out there to get this information. The MSP have said that they are working "in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act."

OK, cool let me request the information. I know there is a small fee for the information so, what's it going to cost to get the information from these devices? According to the Michigan State Police the information for these devices under the FOIA is going to cost about $500,000.00. The is a big red tape being wrapped with a not a chance from the State Police.

So if you get pulled over, stopped at a Border Patrol Check Station or going through an airport do not give them your cellphone or computer. It is best to always have them turned off and even the battery removed to prevent them from accessing your private information.

Racist DOJ Policy Forces The Dumbing Down of Dayton Police

Photobucket
Police Force Of The Future As Imagined By The DOJ?

The DOJ is (once again) overstepping its bounds by interfering in a state's private business. Since when is it the duty of the Federal government to force a city to accept their mandates and change their hiring standards? If Ohio wants to require that officers pass the exam with 90% it is their business and their right to set that standard for themselves. And if certain groups of people cannot pass the exam then wouldn't we be better off sending them back to study more than we are hiring uneducated morons to assist in keeping our communities safe - just to make sure that people feel good about themselves?

Someone please tell me again how 'un' racist our current DoJ is and I double-dare you to do so with a straight face. I can't think of anything more racist than to make allowances for a special interest group based on their 'persecuted' skin color. The playing field is level, if blacks can't perform up to par that is still no reason to place entire communities in danger by pandering and catering to a bunch of crybabies who didn't make the cut!

And so we continue onward with the dumbing down of America. Heaven forbid someone 'feel bad' for failing to achieve their goals and by all means, instead of raising the bar and forcing people to reach and jump higher, let's just make every aspect of our society so easy that even cavemen have nothing higher to strive for...

Excerpt from ABC 22 News/Dayton

The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.

It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.

Dayton is in desperate need of officers to replace dozens of retirees. The hiring process was postponed for months because the D.O.J. rejected the original scores provided by the Dayton Civil Service Board, which administers the test.

Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.

The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%.  That's the equivalent of an ‘F’ and a ‘D’.

“It becomes a safety issue for the people of our community,” said Dayton Fraternal Order of Police President, Randy Beane.  “It becomes a safety issue to have an incompetent officer next to you in a life and death situation."

...The D.O.J. has forced other police departments across the country to lower testing standards, citing once again that not enough black candidates were passing.

Police and Gun Control

Another excellent article from WTS

Gun Control.

It's a complete and utter fallacy to say that removing guns from the populace makes the people of those communities safer.  It's a monumental misplacement of faith to think that a government or government body can protect you from your neighbors.  You have the right to protect yourself, your family, and your property in the United States of America with firearms, and such rights are granted to you via the founding fathers of this nation in the second amendment in the United States Bill of Rights.  The right to protect yourself and bare arms, however, is not a right that any governing body can give to you, it's a right that you have, whether you realize it or not, upon birth.

Gun Control isn't about Guns, it's About Control.

I never get tired of hearing people talk about how their ideas or their political party favorite, or whatever and whoever, are somehow going to change the world, and make it better. It's sort of like when someone blames Islam or Christianity or Judaism for the violence in the world. Religions don't commit acts of violence, violent people do. If you took away all of the religions in the world, you'd have the same violent people left, and they'd only find another reason to do what they were doing already. Of course I've over simplified things, but the previous sentence is still the water floating battleship reality.

Having more faith in government, or in individuals than you have in your own ability to control yourself well; is a sign of low self esteem, and I associate that with humanism. What is humanism? It's the religion that claims that it isn't one. It's the worship of mankind. If you've not reached the conclusion that mankind is a circle jerk fool's parade yet, then let me tell you a story. . .
